Jakarta Beat Society 2026

M Bloc Space, Kebayoran, Jakarta 22–23 August, 2026

The Jakarta Tourism and Creative Economy Board is proud to present the 3rd JAKARTA BEAT SOCIETY (JBS) that will be held in M BLOC SPACE, Kebayoran, Jakarta, on the 22nd and 23rd August, 2026.

JBS is one of the few international music events in Asia that combines Showcase and Festival. Last year, we were quite successful in presenting excellent local and international bands. Our Delegates, both national and international, also sparked vibrant discussions on various crucial issues regarding the local, Asian, and global music industry. A few open calls and established bands signed a contract with our national and international delegates. This year, JBS will expand the number of bands and delegates, in terms of musical genre, geographical coverage and professional background.

For the past several years, Jakarta has developed a significant music industry and scene that produced highly rated bands across genres, including indie rock, hip-hop, jazz and world beat. Many of them have become headline acts at international festivals. Our open call program is the tool used to invite them to the JBS stages. Jakarta’s buying power has also grown substantially, making the city a destination for top bands such as Coldplay, Taylor Swift, and Blackpink. This year, JBS will bring prominent music media from Australia, Europe and North America.

In short, JBS 2026 will be one of the most memorable showcases cum festivals in Asia. This will be especially appealing for foreign delegates and bands since we will gather all local music industry stakeholders across the country. Among the main line-ups of our 3rd JBS are IWA K., Bottlesmoker, Batavia Collective, Indonesian National Orchestra, Satya Cipta, Jordy Waelauruw, Jegog SuarAgung (Bali), Cecil Yang, Major 9, and Noizekilla.

As a showcase festival, we have top foreign delegates coming from New York (GlobalFest), London (Edinburg Festival), Rome (Italian World Beat), Copenhagen (Resonator Festival & Worldmusic Oasis), Paris (Zaman Production), Australia (MusicNT), Lisbon (West Wave Production), New Delhi (SEHER), Tokyo (Inter Idoru), Okinawa (Music Lane Festival), Seoul (Soundpuzzle & Jarasum Jazz Festival), Beijing (Haze Sounds), Taipeh (NPCC), Bali (Indonesian Music Expo), and Jakarta (M BLOC SPACE & Fresh Sound) to provide opportunities for our 40 national and international bands to meet them.

Our program will cover the following: (1) main performance, (2) showcase performance, (3) conference, (4) business meeting, and (5) craft fair. Our venue, M BLOC SPACE is the most popular new music center at Kebayoran, South Jakarta, the heart of live music and nightlife surrounded by cafes, art galleries, hotels, and restaurants. As the Global City and the main tourist destination in Indonesia, Jakarta will offer you various other musical, artistic, cultural, and touristic attractions across the city during the two-day festival and showcase.

Please make sure to arrange your time well to visit Jakarta, known as the Queen of Asia in the 18th century, and to attend Jakarta Beat Society 2026. See you in August 22 & 23.
