Born on January 21, 1968, his love for music began at a young age, when he was in elementary school, Yovie had already performed as a piano player at a famous hotel lounge in Bandung. Throughout his teenage years, he continued to develop his musical talent by writing songs, forming a band, and performing at national and international festivals.

With all his busyness and achievements in the field of music, he still prioritized his education and managed to earn a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Padjajaran University.
