Ras Muhamad is known as the “Reggae Ambassador” of Indonesia. Born Muhamad Egar in Jakarta, Indonesia, he has released several albums, including Negeri Pelangi and Salam, and authored a book on reggae’s history, promoting the genre across Southeast Asia.

Ras Muhamad gained recognition for his contributions to the reggae genre, releasing several albums, including his third studio album, Negeri Pelangi and his fifth album, “”Salam””. He also produced the first self-titled single for Indonesian reggae artist Tony Q Rastafara. In addition to his music career, he published his first book, which explores the history, vision, and philosophy of reggae music, bridging connections between Jamaica and Indonesia.
