His approach to creativity is diverse and all-encompassing, placing collaboration and unity at the forefront of artistic production. Rapidly finding a creative language that coalesces the creation & performance of post-genre music, video, design, painting, installation & event programming.
With an eclectic approach to music-making – Lui is discovering a sound that reinserts love and urgency into Punk music. A fascination for visceral song-writing and poetry cut roughly to the relentless bass-driven, electronic madness of the future. A HipHop head’s obsession with cadence & flow collides with a haphazard self-trained sung vocal. He is carving his debut solo project which will begin to launch somewhere this year!
He co-founded the Alternative Punk project LUzA CULT alongside SAVE_Az in 2021. Their humorous, unorthodox, chaos-driven approach to lyricism, delivery and performance aims to fuel the punk revival and prioritise genuine, human connection in this pivotal era of climatic cataclysm.
Finding inspiration in music movements of the past and present (punk, grunge, techno and hip-hop), the industrial wastelands of neoliberalism, wildlife, ecology, street art, psychedelics, love and the vibrant community surrounding him.
